January and February finishes

I decided at the beginning of the year to make one decoration a month for Christmas so that by November I will have 11 new things in my Christmas collection, so here is January's,  (3 cute tags.....)
And this is February's finish.......

Just showing  true colour of fabric and the
cutest little rusty bells.

Have a great day, Michelle.

I think 'Country Prim',

That is what I am calling my new finish!  I can now show you my finished project, which did take a little longer than I thought!
This is a kitchen cabinet which is in my hallway as my kitchen is way to small to house it, but it holds lots of preserves and cookbooks.  Have a close look and see if you can see any changes?

I do hope you noticed my wool appliqués and new/old handles.........
I am so happy with my improved cabinet and am much happier with the whole look really.  I hope you have had a wonderful week and that the weekend has lots of crafting in-store?
Michelle.

Sundays effort..................

This was Sundays effort and to be honest it was an effort as my eyes where really sore.  I had an allergic reaction to some make up I wore on Saturday for some family photos we had taken!!! Glad the eyes weren't swollen for the photos!
These little treasures I found at a junk yard on Friday and will be used with the above!! (sound interesting??)As for this morning we weighted our boys (bulls that is,) as they are off to the sale on Wednesday.  This took a little longer than we liked  -  as they are just as afraid of the scales as I am!

This wee chap rolled in at 842 kg's !  He was the heaviest ( but I did tell him that it was only by 10 kg's).  Well I hope you week has started well, Michelle.

                                                        tomorrow will reveal more!!
Have a great weekend, Michelle.

Recycled or Up-cycled???

Does it not mean the same thing?  Thought I would show two of my recycled or up-cycled things that  I always get comments on.
First is  my peg container at the clothesline (instead of looking at my peg container and saying ' my mum has one of those'..................I wish they would get the washing in and fold it!!

This is great for holding pegs and not water, unlike the plastic peg containers these don't break, rust or blow away.  It is I think a vegetable steamer and cost me 50 cents at the Op shop - a great investment.
Second is another steamer I think, it holds my beautiful smelling pot pourri from Thread bear Cottage.
I love seeing what people use and do with recycling or up-cycling.  If you have any ideas I would love to hear.
Enjoy your Tuesday, Michelle.

Threadbear goodness

I had a wonderful surprise in the mail this morning, a parcel arrived from Julie at thread bear cottage and as I am ripping open the courier bag and opening the card (well if I am honest i ripped open the box first but it sounds more thoughtful that I read the card first!!)  Inside this bag of goodness I discovered Julie had sent me a gorgeous birthday gift..
look at these goodies, some of her beautiful pot pourri and oil, and these gorgeous snowmen pots!
Thank you Julie I just love them - they are the cutest!!!  The people I have met through this blog is incredible! I will think of you every time I see them - thank you !!!
While on my birthday - I know I was spoilt rotten - lucky it is only once a year - but my husband had organised a birthday tea where my very good friends and family met at the TET in Stratford for tea.  It was a great night and so much fun!

Julie and Rolly brought this gorgeous leather cow door stopper,
but she is too cute for that!
My brother and NEW sister inlaw brought me
these gorgeous rustic angels .
I know I am just too spoilt but I had to show and tell.  Still working on some stitching to show but until then have a great week!
Michelle.
