SSCS

I got to open my SSCS yesterday and what a GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS surprise!! The very talented  Kate (pop over to her blog, she has a wonderful story of how my quilt began.) It is gorgeous, I am sure you will be sick of this word by the time you are finished reading this blog - but it is.  The work is incredible-the needle turn, the hand stitching.............................

I couldn't pick which photo I liked the most, so I thought I would post the lot !  Thanks Kate, you are a talented lady and I love your work! I will treasure this always! Thanks Chooky this is the best swap ever!!
Had a great boxing day folks, Michelle.

Bargain SANTA

I felt alittle sad when I read in the paper that our 'Christmas Shop' in New Plymouth is closing down!! So while in New Plymouth yesterday I thought I would stop by, and lucky I did they had 30% off.  So the above Santa came home with me along with............................................
Now these wee mice I have plans for next Christmas of a wee candle mat. Also while in NP I thought I would visit the Hospice shop for the last time and these are my bargains....................................

I love this Santa and for $3.50 what a bargain!!

I hope everyone is not running themselves too ragged doing the last minute shopping!

Final room tour ..............

Two posts in one day! Just realised we are heading away tomorrow afternoon so thought I would wind up my tour by showing you the last two rooms.
I made this last year, I love the way it lights up at night. (these are battery lights). This is my blue and white room which needs some more blue and white hand made snowmen.

And now my rustic room......................................................................

I hope you have enjoyed my tour.  Have a great day, Michelle.

Kindred Heart Christmas

On Monday our stitching group 'Kindred Heart Stitchers' got together at Nicky's house for our Christmas get together. Wow what a great day! Lots of laughs, fab food, great company, what more could you ask for??? Well............................... you could ask for a cookie exchange.

Take a look at these goodies - they are very, very yummy!!! Claire's mum also made us coconut ice and a jar of marmalade very yum.

Here is Nicky cooking lunch.  Also here are a few pic from Nicky's house, it has  beautiful hand made
goodies everywhere!!

We also made one ornament for the Christmas tree, I made for Nicky and forgot to take a photo and Claire made for me

It is very cool! Its very rustic and will find a home in my rustic room (Ben's room). What a great group we have, I look forward to this group meeting every month ! So many laughs and the inspiration we draw from each other is wonderful.  My wish is for everyone to have such a great group! Have a great day, Michelle.
