This old window is now..................

a new display shelf !  I brought this old window from a wrecking yard, I thought it was beautiful and I can't write what hubby thought of it !!  So off to a hardware store to buy a shelf and some brackets and some big screws so I could screw it to the wall.  So now it displays a shearing statue, photos, shearing hand pieces and tools, bale hook, branding stencil, hand shears and rusty old cutters !
I love it !!
Enjoy what ever the day brings you, Michelle.

Amost a week !!

It's been almost a week since I held KHS here!  Thought I better blog about it, as I have yet to find some time to craft !  Last month our challenge was a swag and no I did not do my challenge but the girls made a lovely job of their swags.  It was such a great day catching up.  We also gave Michelle her birthday pressies which was a month late as we didn't meet last month.  I also forgot to take photo's!  Hopefully this month will be more productive?

Michelle's welcome swag.

This is Claire's, its made out of old hankies and broaches.

Are these not gorgeous old broaches.

This one reminds me of my Great Nana Cool.

These are Nicky's paper swags.

This is a bow tie quilt Claire has finished.
It is gorgeous!

Have a great day, Michelle.

Cinderberry Stitches- Bella Babushka

It is almost the middle of August and this is my 1st post for the month - can't believe how fast time is flying.  This is a busy time of year for us on the farm.  We have got cows calving and so far I am feeding about 90 calves.

But in the odd minute or two I have been able to finish this, it's a pattern by Natalie Lymer.  I must admit it is not a pattern I would normally do, it's quite pretty but I had a vision of sewing it in black, white and raspberry.  I am really happy with the finish and the quilt.

The pet sheep have also lambed, this old girl in the front is Ally, she is 10years old  and she had the twins in the photo, and the other girl is Fiona and she is about 7 years old, she had a single lamb this year.
Well I better and start getting ready to go and feed my calves. enjoy your day, Michelle.
