A challenge for March

At our last KHS meeting we all had to bring along 3 items each to collectively put together for our March challenge.  So above is a picture of my items (we all have the same), and during the next couple of weeks before our next meeting I have to turn them into something amazing................................I wonder what the other girls are doing??????  So we have pegs, pearls, coat hanger, teaspoon, fabric, a zip, bell, doily, crocheted flowers, polystyrene ball, hankie, and a ugly plastic flower-thanks Claire!!!  I love these challenges, just seeing what everyone else comes up with! I almost forgot to mention, it doesn't have to be one project, it can be as many as you need! -Wish me luck!
I am going to have to get my head into this one??????
Enjoy your weekend, Michelle.

Dust and hot dogs

Dust, hot dogs and cowboys!  On Saturday we attended the biannual Urenui Rodeo.  It was a great day, full of action, not sure I would like to try this sport? is it called a sport?  But we enjoyed watching.
Enjoy your week, Michelle.

KHS for Jan and Feb

Life is getting in the way of my blogging!  So I have a wee bit of catching up too do!  KHS meeting in January was great, it was held at Nicky's and as usual we had great food!  With some laughs and some tears also as Claire's dog Finn Linn died!
Our theme was tin for the month and sorry I did not take photo's of everyone's projects as I was side tracked as it was my birthday month but I did take photo's of my gifties!  Above is a pair of  rusty tin angels my friend Julie and her hubby Rolly gave me! (I cheated and took these along as my project as I ran out of time to do something!!)  I love them!

These are gift's from Michelle, I was very spoilt!  She made
the tin stars as her project for the month and gave them to me!!

These are from Nancy-needle case and tea towel-love them!
They are so me!

Nicky's, can you see the wax ornaments by the angel?
She also potted the plant below in the very cool old
edmonds tin!

And lucky last Claire decorated this very cool
bucket for me!  Notice the stencilled number, this
is to remind me of the year I was born!

We have also had our February meeting, which was paper!  It was held at Nancy's and more yummy food and laughs.  Lucky we take along some crafts other wise we would be a food appreciation group!!!
Claire spray painted this and decorated with paper
tags.

Nicky had this very cool old lamp shade.  I
will show when finished!

Michelle's is unfinished but will be made into a pillow.
below is a close up- very clever idea- she has sewn
the fabric to look like paper!!  Then stitched a verse.

And I covered this wooden bird with paper and then poured
resin on it!

This was also a month of finishing quilts!  Well done girls they are all gorgeous!  I hope you have all stuck with me, I know it is a bit photo heavy but worth it I think!
Enjoy what is left of your weekend, Michelle.
