A piece of work

I started this Winter sampler about 3 weeks ago and have surprised myself this morning with how many I have actually finished!  They are very simple stitchery's which I am stitching in black, green and red. I am really enjoying these as there is not much thinking while watching TV!
I hope you enjoy your weekend, happy stitching!!

Twenty one !!

Life has been crazy busy this past month, boys returning from Oz (that was exciting!!! one from work and one from a holiday! still missed them both!! And was over the moon to have them home again!!) then water blasting the house and tiding up the grounds as we had Ben's 21st party to get ready for!  It came around so fast and ended up being a fantastic weekend and I am slowly getting over it.  Not as young as I once was and don't really do the late nights like I used too!!  Got home at 4 am - I should not need to say anymore!!
The  cake turned out better than I thought, his key looked great, (my Uncle gave me this gorgeous piece of heart rimu which we used to mount the key on. ) and his photo book I made with favorite photos of him growing up, it seemed to all come together!  While doing the photo book, you realize how time speeds by, I think we don't truly realize this until we get older!

All and all it has been a great time and like my youngest son told me, óne down, one to go'!!  I have been doing some stitching at night so will take some photos soon and post! Until then, have a great week and take care,
Michelle.

KHS for June

Claire and her belated birthday loot!
Nicky's antique sewing machine quilt-gorgeous!!
Me and my projects, stitchery and whisk!
Nicks pumpkin project,
Another pumpkin of Nicks!

Nicky's stitchery project (great minds think alike!! I was going to do the same thing!!)
Claire and her stitchery pillow - the colours are gorgeous!
Nancy's Christmas decoration-she made into a needle case!

Nancy made us each a whisk bird feeder for her whisk project!!
(Claire was a little hungry-perhaps we should feed her!!!)
Michelle's stitchery project and Christmas decoration - almost finished
(I wonder if she has an excuse????)
Pretty photo heavy I know!!!! But we met on the 10th of June at Michelle's new house, and she had done so well unpacking what she had unpacked in just 10 days since  she moved in!!  The house was so warm-it is has a great fire box!!  But I will post some photos when she is all unpacked and settled in!  Not a lot of crafting going on, took a effort to finish my projects for our meeting, at the moment I am busy getting ready for our eldest son -  Ben's 21st which is on the 25th of this month.  I hope you are having more success at finding some time to craft!

Good bye sage-hello stockyard!

This sage coloured paint and wallpaper was probably a hit in the early '90's, but when we brought the house it was on my hit list to get rid of, it has weathered not too bad, but it always appears dirty.  With a whole 10 litre bucket of paint left from my bedroom make over I decided the entrance, stairway and laundry would get a lick of paint to brighten everything up!  What I did forget was how much I hate painting, hence it taking so long to finish, but the good news is I only have the laundry to do!!  The new paint colour was called 'Stockyard', very appropriate I thought!

You can still see paint sheet as hand rail still
needs to go up the stairs!!

The above unit got a quick lick of chalk paint and a sanding.  I am so pleased to have this part is finished, just a few small touches to do on the stairway, then some more photo's.
Enjoy your Tuesday, Michelle
