This week.......

The week has flown by................................... I have fed calves,
been to a friends for coffee (and brought biscats !), went to New Plymouth and picked up our new deep freeze,
docked lambs,

here is a picture when they still have their tails !!!  and then garden, garden garden !!!

But I did clean up this little garden by the back door.  Remember those white pickets I was given at the Op shop.  Well this is what I had planned for them.  There are some petunia's planted in the spaces.  I think it will look very cute when they are in flower.  (more pics later) but not alot of crafting this week, but things are slowing down so hopefully soon.
Have a great Friday, Michelle

Rag tag stitchin'

Back in July I won a couple of stitching patterns from Michelle, (Rag tag stitchin') well last nite I finally finished stitching one pattern...............I love it, now I am not sure whether to make it into a wall hanging like it supposed to be or into 3 pillows? What do you think?  Michelle has very cute patterns, use the link and have a look.

Let me know what you think and have a great Thursday, Michelle.

Stitching group

Well last Thursday was our monthly stitching group ! (really ladies we must name ourselves). Pictured is Claire and Michelle busy sewing and cutting, this was after a yummy lunch.
These are Claire's mod podge projects.  The 'C' is done with tissue and is very cute.
Now Michelle didn't quite finish her project but she is mod podging a blackboard. Next month I will have photos. Now Claire also made this cloche with a plate that we got op shopping and a glass jelly mould.  It is very cute and she was lucky she got to take it home.

Our project for next month is anything from our Tilda books we all brought.  I am looking forward to this one.  Enjoy your Monday, Michelle.

Mod podge

Our project for the month for my stitching group was a mod podge project, which was really fun because it was not sewing!  As usual I left this to the last minute but I am pleased with the results - but not the mess I left behind!!

I am so happy with the finished suitcase and it was a challenge with the fabric , but I must confess the inside is not finished! I want to find some old mags or newspaper and mod podge the inside. Or I may just tea dye some newspaper if I can't find what I am looking for.
Well I have caught the mod podge bug and also did these couple of projects...........................

and my final project was my welcome sign.  I will post about my stitching group meeting tomorrow and show their projects.  Till then, enjoy your weekend, Michelle.

Wahooo..............................it's finished !!! I am stoked !

 Thought I would take a
photo outside...............

but the weather would not
play the part. We have had
shocking weather today, wind and rain.

So I will take this to New Plymouth next week to be quilted.  I think it will go nicely with all my red and white christmas crafts I have made this year. I don't think the photo does it justice as the parcel bows show up way better in person. Have a great day, Michelle.

Finished !!!

Finally a finish !  I've felt pretty sluggish lately and needed to have a finish or two ! Life on the farm has been busy and I get frustrated with myself as I have so many things I want to do and no time to do them in.........but enough of the moaning from me.  A couple of finishes to show (happy dance being performed as you read.) But really if I am honest I have done more crafty things this spring than ever before and I put this down to this wonderful blog and my two wonderful stitchers-Michelle and Claire!
Millen's little quilt is finished and my santa stitchery is all ready for Christmas. (I brought the pattern when I went to the Quilt and Craft show in Sydney.)

I will leave you with these two pictures of work in progress......
hopefully tomorrow I should be able to show you another finish. (Hint-more red and white)
Have a great weekend, Michelle.

Happy Fathers Day......

Today is Father's Day here in New Zealand.
This is my Dad,
he is a wonderful Dad, from his weird sense of humour, loving quiet nature,
I treasure and love him heaps. And the best thing is he is also a fabulous Poppa to all his grand kids.
So happy Fathers Day Dad and to all Fathers have a great day!!
