Favourite things - Tuesday

This is a Meme's Quilt pattern that I made a wee while ago now.  It proudly hangs in our entrance.  I also love the old kitchen unit I picked up at the mart,  I just have to get some handles, change the black ones and then it is finished.
These are my favourite things for this Tuesday, have a great day, Michelle.

Incy wincy spider has been busy

We had a heavy dew this morning which showed how busy incy wincy spider has been ! So I decided to have a little fun with my camera.
                           A web Christmas tree.............

As crafters we can appreciate the work that has gone into this !

This looks like a painting rather than a photo.

This looks old and out of a history book.

Well I am off out into the garden, too nice to be inside, enjoy your Sunday,
Michelle.

I'm still here, not alot of crafting going on ! Farm, calves, kids and husband seem to be taking up all my time  (in that order)  and lets not forget the house.........dusting, washing , food !  I thought it was about time I did a  little dusting as it was a wee bit embarrassing and I'm slowly getting there, I get side tracked EASY !!  Although I am hanging out to create something.  Our monthly challenge with the stitching girls was something with mod podge, which is great as I have a few projects I would like to do so watch this space !!!!!!!!!!

All dust free  (I wonder how long that will last?????? )  Have a good Thursday, Michelle.

Stitchin' Group

Yesterday was our monthly get together for our stitchin group.  It was at Claire's house and as usual not alot of stitchin was accomplished but lots of inspiration !  Show and tell was great, this month we had to decorate our cloches, finish a UFO and make something with hankies we all brought !  Claire made her hankie into kid wind mills, I made mine into a journal cover and Michelle made this cool little origami dress.  I forgot or more to the point got wrapped up in the moment and forgot to take photos of everyone's finished UFOs.  We  then had a yummy lunch of stuffed potatoes and salad and the most Divine truffles!!
This is Michelle's origami dress.

And my finish for the month............

This is Michelle's cloche, she told me to tell all that it is not finished and you need to image a nest in the bottom.
This is Claire's cloche, she made a cute bird and two birdhouses, love the colours and the lights!

And this is mine, I painted the base black which was from my Op Shop Hop that cost a $1, recycled a silver bird, nest and wreath.  And the moss is from the rails outside.  I am really happy with it actually as I whipped it up yesterday morning before I went.  The pressure was on and not alot of time to think, which if I am honest works for me.
We also managed a quick trip to the Op shops in Hawera and I will show you the goodies I got tomorrow as I need to tackle the mountain of washing that is piling up in front of me.
Have a great Thursday, Michelle.

It's a WHITE Monday

I thought this was a once in a 15 year experience, but this is the second time it has snowed in a month !  We have had a lot more snow this time, we have had 6inches.

This is me going to feed my calves.

And this photo is for Liam, is this a better snowman from Cody????
Well I am all snowed out so more tomorrow, keep warm and drink plenty of hot chocolate,
Michelle.

Friday already !!!!!

Can't believe how fast this week has gone.  Calving is well under way and I have  a couple of favourites already (as you do!)  Slow progress on the craft room, but should have some photos next week. The boys High School had a sports and cultural exchange this week and we hosted two billets - really great boys  and the first time they have ever been on a farm ! We had a lot of fun with them and a few laughs at them ! Ben had a agriculture contest in New Plymouth today so on my way to have a look I called into the Hospice shop and what a score.............................
 A really cool batten frame,
 this rustic Christmas swag,
is he not the cutest ?
 a cross stitch button,
a milk glass lamp, some beading, a wooden candle holder (which I will paint), a Christmas mag,
and this really neat red and white bead swag.  This made my week!!   Have a great weekend, Michelle.

Favourite things - Tuesday.........plus

Not a lot to report, but some finishes hopefully soon, well when time allows.  I don't seem to have my flare at the moment, I need to decorate my cloche, before my next meet with the girls and I'm finding it a bit hard, so have put a couple of pictures of an idea, but not happy with it, so if you have any ideals............please!

Enjoy your Tuesday, Michelle.

Favourite things - Friday

I made this a wee while ago, it was a kit that I brought from Claire.  It had everything I loved, buttons, felt, ric rac and recycling. (the frame was recycled from another project and with a little paint and sand paper, I think it looks great.) It has always been a favourite.
Have a great weekend, Michelle.

All rusty and I love it

This is my new garden ornament, all the way from Mapiu, Te Kuiti.  On it's journey home it had fair bit of attention.  Many people viewed it and commented on it's history at Mokau while the driver was getting a ice-cream !  Hence a lot of weeding happened today and my back is certainly letting me know that it did not like the work out  !!!! But we needed the trailer, so it had to  be unloaded.  It's rusty and I think it is beautiful.
There is still alot of work ahead of me and to be honest I am not a winter gardener.  I like the summer because I am all about the flowers.  So tomorrow I will be planting a few plants in hope of a great summer show.

All gardening today and no crafting or work in the craft room, so hopefully that will happen in the weekend.

This is CJ he has been a great help today (not !!!) but he is cute ! He is off tomorrow, he will have a new home and someone who will love and feed him. (Thanks Alyssa)  And I am sure he will be a ribbon winner at pet day !!!!
Happy Thursday, Michelle.

Craft room progress

Hi everyone, it's seems like it has been awhile since I last blogged ! This past week I have had the flu and a cough that has pulled all the muscles in my chest, so little stitching and sewing has been done.

But good news on my craft room, it has been gib stopped and painted - I am so happy with it.  White and tea where the colours of choice.
As well as painting, we have added a new floor, which I think is just beautiful compared with that nasty vinyl.
And I have also included a photo of my new cubies or shelves being made - thanks Clint !

We have started calving and have 20 cows in already - not really suppose to start till the 5th August but we know as mothers when it's time, it is time !!  Well I'm off to spend 1/2 hour in the garden before I go and feed my calves.  I will post soon on the new RUSTY item I have for my garden.......it is so beautiful !!!!   Enjoy what is left of your Tuesday, Michelle.
