Happy Birthday Nancy

April is Nancy's birthday month, so at our KHS get together which was a Nick's we celebrated her birthday,  Nick made a cake and her girls iced it, so yummy and finished off a delicious lunch which Nicky had whipped up!

As for show and tell, we have gotten pretty slack and no one had anything to show, so I went looking around Nicky's house to discover any new treasures.........................and I did find one or two....

So it was a fantastic get together with lots of laughs, am looking for ward to the next get together in May.

Tops

Feeling very flat at the moment, have been doing lots of milking's at erratic times, a couple of my clients are now milking every 16 hours, so decided because the day was so dull it would be a great day to finish these two tops.  The above table runner needs a backing and some quilting and I am thinking I am going to do this myself, but not today!  And the blue and white beauty has come up perfect and I am thinking maybe I will give this a go also???  When this is finished it will take pride of place in my hall way along side my blue hutch I painted, but first the hall way needs a make over with a lick of paint, so that is next on the to do list.
I hope you have had a great start to the week?

A mixed bag

Our KHS meeting this month started out at a cafe in Hawera for lunch then back to Nancy's for a cuppa and relax time stitching.  Our lunch was a mixed bag with half the group enjoying there's and half of us really disappointed with ours!

Not a lot of finished projects this month, everyone has lost the wind from their sails with the exception of Nancy! The top photo is of Claire's knitted blocks she is doing for another group she is in and the photo's below are of Nancy and her box fill of knitted singlets for new born babies which she gives to the hospital and blankets, lot of blankets!!
It was kind of fitting that we ended up at Nancy's this month as it may be her last time she hosts us in her home as she is looking at moving to a small unit!  I always love going to Nancy's, it feels like home, so I thought I better take some photos, to showcase her many talents, from quilting, cross stitching, sewing and knitting!!

She is a talented lady and has her gorgeous crafts all around her home.
She is also crazy ....................in a wonderful way too.................don't you just love her mail box!!!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful week, full of creative bliss!

At Michelle's

Two Saturdays ago we had our KHS meeting at Michelle's, as you can see from the photo's it was a lovely relaxing day.  There was a wee bit of stitching, a lot of chatting, it was great to just sit and stitch for a while, which I hadn't done in some time!! The first 9 photo's are all Michelle's projects-she has been one busy lady!! (I am green with jealously!!) The other three are just everyone chilling.  Thanks for a great day Michelle, i did come home all inspired.................but lost it when I started milking!!!! Hopefully next week, that inspiration will come back???
Have a great week everyone,
Michelle.

Can't believe how busy things have been!  Time has disappeared so fast!  I think this photo was taken 3 weeks ago, the day before my son flew back to Australia for work.  My Grandad was in hospital so we made a flying trip to visit before he flew out, it was a great day and a great catch up.

Then on that weekend I had the KHS girls come for lunch, can't believe I didn't take any photo's ( mind you I was busy getting lunch ready!!) It was a great catch up, everyone was here and that was extra special as it was my birthday and I got soooo spoilt!  The two photos above are my pressies!  The house was filled with lots of chatter and laughter, it was so much fun.  And we had perfect weather so we sat outside for lunch!  It might have been our only summers day, we have had a lot of rain this summer!!   We also planed our projects out for the next couple of months........................the projects brought to do have a Christmas theme so that makes me happy!
It's hard to believe that our next meeting is actually this weekend, it seems to have been a short turn around for this one...........................but no complaints from me!!! So I will do my best to take photo's this time.
Enjoy what is left of your week,
Michelle.
